Pacific Islands

RedBull has successfully undertaken a wide range of blasting activities throughout the Pacific Islands in recent years.

Many members of the RedBull team have hands-on experience in the challenging environment of blasting in Pacific Islands. Typically, a drill rig and “W” magazines are shipped from New Zealand and barged to individual islands. Airport, roading, quarry or underwater blasting projects are then completed and resources de-mobilised to other islands or back to New Zealand.

Recent blasting operations include:
  • Malarua Quarry, Vanuatu
    Blasting for a roading project.
  • Pentecost Island, Vanuatu
    New airport runway.
  • Ambae Island, Vanuatu
    New airport runway.
  • Manahiki and Rakahanga, Cook Islands
    Underwater reef blasting.
  • Suva, Fiji
    Local quarry blasting.
  • Vanua Levu Island, Fiji

  • Supply of explosives numerous Pacific Island locations.
  • Pitcairn Island
